After spending several years raising commercial
stockers we purchased our first American British White
Park cattle in 2004. We chose the American British
White Park breed not only for their superior
characteristics but also to have a breed of cattle that
was unique and has a fascinating and storied history.
Since that time we have focused our breeding program
on developing registered cattle that have eye appeal,
docile temperament, high fertility, and efficiently
convert grass or feed to tender flavorful beef.
We enjoy talking about our cattle so if you have any
questions please give us a call or send us an email.
Thanks for visiting our website.

American British White Park cattle trace their heritage to ancient England where they were introduced
by the Romans in 55 BC and were not domesticated until the 1700’s. During this time traits of survival,
hardiness, fertility, and disease resistance were developed which are still present in the breed today.
The genesis of the name Park cattle dates to the 12th & 13th centuries in England when the cattle
roamed in large geographic areas known as parks which were enclosed by fences or walls of stone to
discourage poaching. The first White Park cattle were shipped to America in 1940 when the British
White Park Registry Association sent one bull and five cows to the US as seedstock to prevent the
destruction of the breed in the event of a Nazi invasion of England.
American British White Park cattle exhibit many characteristics which are important to any operation:
•
Lean & Fast Growing - ABWP cattle satisfy the consumer’s demand for lean beef and the
producer’s demand for fast growing livestock
•
Natural Foragers
•
Docile Temperament
•
Fertility
•
Naturally Polled - ABWP cattle should not be confused with horned Ancient White Park cattle
•
Hardy & Long Lived - cows often remain in the herd until they are 15 or 16 years old
•
Calving Ease
•
Excellent Milking Ability
•
Superior Maternal Instincts
